I am an Ohio Medical Board Licensed Massage Therapist, a certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist, Myofascial Therapist, Reflexologist, CranioSacral Therapist and since 2018 an Equine Bodyworker; studied also in Germany, was a business-owner for several years and entered the complementary healthcare profession as a Nutrition and Fitness Advisor in Germany.
After a move to the United States, I completed my Massage Therapy Training in Florida. In 2004 I relocated to Ohio, and opened my business in Uniontown. Working with horses became a passion after seeing how beneficial the bodywork can be for our equine friends as well.
In addition to treating clients in my office, in the past I have been serving local businesses, such as Goodyear and Lockheed Martin, law firms, etc. as an Independent ON-Site Chair Massage Contractor for many years.
With a degree in Business and Foreign Languages and working for many years for global corporations I feel that I have a strong understanding of medical conditions that can develop in today's workplaces.
My training for therapeutic treatments includes: Myofascial Release (John F. Barnes), Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy for Pain Management, Orthopedic Massage trained by James Waslaski (orthomassage.net), including Active-Isolated and PNF Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation; Active-Isolated Stretching for Limited Range of Motion, Post Surgical and Injury Trauma; Rehabilitative Exercise for Stretching, Conditioning and Flexibility; MAT (Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, developed by Erik Dalton, founder of the Freedom from Pain Institute), Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder Technique), Swedish Massage, Reflexology and CranioSacral Therapy for Stress Reduction and Relaxation.
Memberships include the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners (IAHP, www.iahp.com), the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA, www.amtamassage.org) and the Green Chamber of Commerce.
I am a brand partner for LifeWave, which is a leader in wearable phototherapy. Among many other benefits LifeWave Patches work great on acupuncture points on humans and horses.
My practice goals are to enhance the well-being of my clients and to improve medical conditions that have been diagnosed by physicians.
