"I founded InSync Massage Therapy LLC. in December 2012 after being a successful business owner of Anja's Therapeutic Touch since 2004. The new company offers a greater variety of services.
I am an Ohio Medical Board Licensed Massage Therapist, a certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist, Reflexologist and CranioSacral Therapist, studied in Germany, was a business-owner for several years and entered the complementary healthcare profession as a Nutrition and Fitness Advisor in Germany.
After a move to the United States, I completed my Massage Therapy Training in Florida. In 2004 we relocated to Ohio and I opened my business in Uniontown.
In addition to treating clients in her office, I am serving local businesses as an Independent ON-Site Chair Massage Contractor.
With a degree in Business and Foreign Languages and working for many years for global corporations I feel that I have a strong understanding of medical conditions that can develop in today's work places due to repetitive movements, working on computers, line-work, etc.
My extensive training for therapeutic sessions includes Swedish Massage, Reflexology and CranioSacral Therapy for Stress Reduction and Relaxation; Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy for Pain Management, Orthopedic Massage trained by James Waslaski (orthomassage.net), including Active-Isolated and PNF Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation; Active-Isolated Stretching for Limited Range of Motion, Post Surgical and Injury Trauma; Rehabilitative Exercise for Stretching, Conditioning and Flexibility; Conditioning; Myofascial Release and Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder Technique).
In addition I am certified in "Advanced Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques", developed by Erik Dalton, Ph.D., an advanced Rolfer, trained by Ida Rolf and the Founder and Executive Director of the Freedom From Pain Institute®. You can go to Dr. Dalton's website in order to find more about these unique and very effective techniques (www.erikdalton.com).
I am also certified in Cranial/Structural Therapy for Headaches by Don McCann (https://structuralenergetictherapy.com).
In April 2019 I became certified in Manual Lymph Drainage by Klose Training (Vodder Method).
For the emotional well-being of my clients I am trained as an Australian Bush Flower Consultant (Bush BioTherapies Pty., Australia) and Autogenic Training Specialist (Stonebridge College, England).
Memberships include the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners (IAHP, www.iahp.com), the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA, www.amtamassage.org), the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA, www.nestacertified.com) and formerly the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB, www.ncbtmb.com).
For best results I am using a combination of treatment modalities in my sessions.
My practice goals are to enhance the well-being of my clients and to improve medical conditions that have been diagnosed by physicians.
"Therapeutic Massage is a dance with the tissue. You work with the body, give the tissue new space, time to heal and use energy to create movement and increase range of motion." You pick the appropriate "tools" (techniques) out of your "modality tool box", do the "tissue dance" and always try to make the collar bones smile!" Anja
